Our Team
Jill established Eclipse Orthodontics with a view to providing high-end, top quality orthodontic treatments to both children and adults. As a specialist orthodontist, she prides herself on performing orthodontic treatment alone, and she treats patients to very high standards in the most professional of environments.
She qualified from Leeds Dental School with honours in 2002, carried out her vocational training in South Leeds, then spent a year working at Pinderfields General Hospital as a Maxillofacial SHO caring for patients with facial trauma, head and neck cancer and other dental anomalies.
Jill then successfully achieved her Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons in October 2004. Following this, she spent some time in general practice and also worked as a Paediatric Community Dental Officer. She started three years of specialist training in October 2006 and trained between the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, Sheffield and Chesterfield Royal Hospitals. During this time, she was successful in completing a Masters in Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontics) and her Membership in Orthodontics.
She believes in working with her patients to tackle any concerns they may have about the appearance of their teeth. She knows they will ultimately be delighted with the treatment they receive and looks forward to introducing herself and the rest of the team.
Outside of work, Jill is a keen netball player and enjoys walking and skiing. Her husband Matthew, is a dentist at the practice, and she has a young family that keeps her busy.
I am a general dentist here at Eclipse Dental Care, with a decade of experience under my belt, since graduating from Barts and the London in 2014. I am committed to ensure your teeth receive the best possible care and a keen interest in orthodontics led me to undertake a comprehensive 2-year course in fixed orthodontics called “Straight Forward Straight Wire.” This additional training, together with working alongside Jill , has allowed me to offer fixed and removable brace options to our patients. I aim to enhance smiles with precision and care.
Beyond the dental world, I’m Mum to two young children. They keep me happily occupied and are the perfect inspiration for my other passion – photography, allowing me to capture life’s moments through the lens.
Having worked at the practice for more than 30 years my role is to work alongside the dentist in all aspects of chairside assistance and patient care. This includes orthodontic and implant nursing. I support other members of the team and in my role of head nurse I help to ensure all staff are adhering to cross infection and health and safety protocols to the highest standards at all times.
My general interests are spending quality time with my family, fine dining, walking and socialising.
As a qualified orthodontic dental nurse, I work along side Jill to help her manage and treat her patients efficiently and effectively. I passed my orthodontic nursing exam in 2020 and this gave me the extra knowledge I needed to support the orthodontic team here at Eclipse Dental Care.
At home during the week I like to attend classes at my local gym. I like to meet up with friends on the weekend and go to new places/ try something new. I enjoy listening to house and chart music. I really enjoy spending money on new makeup and clothes.
